International Citizen Service (ICS) is a UK government-funded development programme that brings together young people from all backgrounds to fight poverty around the world.
Raleigh is working alongside development organisations to deliver the ICS programme in over 30 countries. We deliver our ICS programmes in Nepal, Nicaragua and Tanzania. Teams are made up of volunteers from the UK and from the local country.
We work on community based projects, which focus on improving people’s access to water and sanitation, and working with young entrepreneurs to create local businesses and build lasting change for them and their families.
If you live in Tanzania you can join us as a volunteer (aged 18 – 25) or as a Team Leader (over 23).
