Interview by Marie.
The fieldbase staff and volunteers at Raleigh Tanzania decided to engage in some ‘Action at Home’ within their own community, in Kilakala, Morogoro. Our team of 12 were up bright and early on Saturday 15 April to start work on the road that runs up to fieldbase. Led by active community member Mr Lemu, our task was to dig rain water channels along the side of the road. It is the height of the rainy season in Tanzania, which can have a devastating effect on roads and farmland if rainwater is not properly channelled.
